In 2007, the SYSU Alumni Association established the appointment system of Student Council Member while launched Graduate Thematic event “Loving Alma Mater”. Since then, each year before graduation, SYSU Alumni Association appointed student council members for each class, and the duration of employment is five years. The student council members serve as an interface to maintain and enhance the connection between alma mater and alumni and among graduates as well. Through the joint effort of the student council members, University academic staff and students, the relationship between the alumni and alma mater will endure.
