Basic Information
In June of 1995, graduating from Foreign Languages Department, Wuhan University of Science and Technology and receiving B. A. degree in literature.
In June of 2000, graduating from School of Foreign Languages, Sun Yat-sen University and receiving M. A. degree in Literature.
In December of 2005, graduating from School of Foreign Languages, Sun Yat-sen University and receiving Doctor’s degree in Literature.
From July of 2000 to the present, teaching in the Department of English, School of Foreign Languages, Sun Yat-sen University
From March of 2003 to September of 2003, visiting scholar in the Department of English Literature in the University of Edinburgh, sponsored by Lingnan Foundation in Sun Yat-sen University.
From March of 2010 to March of 2011, visiting scholar in the Faculty of English in the University of Cambridge, sponsored by China Scholarship Council.

III. Research Projects
1. In December of 2012, chairing the project “Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Exile and Anxiety” which belongs to the general provincial project in philosophy and social science for the year 2012 in the “Twelfth five –year Plan” in Guangdong Province.
2. In January of 2010, chairing the project The Anxiety Embodied in Poetic Lines---The Study of British Victorian Women Poets and Their Poems, which is supported by “the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities for the Cultivation of Young Teachers in Sun Yat-sen University”. This project was completed in May 2013.
3. In 2008, taking part in the project The Study of the Subject and Thoughts Embodied in Pound’s Cantos, which belongs to the national research item.
4. In 2007, taking part in the project The Double Intention of Narration, which belongs to Guangdong’s provincial research item.
5. In 2003, chairing the project The Works of V. S. Naipaul and the Study of Postcolonial Theories, which belongs to the research item in Sun-Yat-sen University. This project was completed in 2004.
